Hi, I’m Dara, a Software Engineer, mentor, public speaker, and advocate for women in tech. With over 6 years of hands-on experience in building applications across diverse industries, I have a solid understanding of the entire product life cycle, from design and development to deployment.
Beyond coding, I’m committed to mentorship. I have partnered with organisations like BrainStation,
Web3Ladies
,
Black Girls In Tech
, and
CodeCollabs
to guide young people who are starting their careers in tech. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of mentoring dozens of talented early-career professionals, most of whom are women, and helping them navigate the tech landscape.
I also enjoy sharing my knowledge, whether through speaking at conferences or publishing technical articles.
Some of the conferences + organisations I’ve spoken at:
- Women of Silicon Roundabout
- React Advanced London
- ReactJS Girls
- WomenTech Network Global Conference
- Next Tech Girls National Coding Week Event
- React+ fwdays'24
- BrainStation
- Lagos Leather Fair
- TekNexus Africa
When I’m not working, I enjoy long walks in nature, reading fiction novels, cooking and playing tennis!
